When surfing, skiing, or wakeboarding behind the boat isn’t an option the AWS staff goes with plan B, stand up paddle boarding. Stand up paddle boarding has seen a resurgence in Hawaii and has been gaining in popularity on the mainland too. This relatively new sport to the North West is sure to give riders the ultimate core workout while also improving balance. Riding a stand up paddle board is easy for everyone and will have you feeling like you are walking on water. Since the beginning of March, AWS employees have been enjoying spring morning paddles up and down the Willamette River in Oregon City.
Active Water Sports is the local Portland Oregon dealer for C4 Waterman Stand Up Paddle Boards. A fleet of rental Stand Up Paddle Boards will soon be available at the Oregon City, Active Water Sports location. Active Water Sports will be scheduling clinics on the Willamette River in both West Linn and Oregon City this summer. Call Dan (503.650.5991) to schedule a demo with one of the AWS team riders.
