Bryan’s Wakeskate Christmas List
by courtney on Dec.08, 2010, under Active Water Sports
Bryan’s been more nice than naughty this year, so we’re hoping that Santa will bring him everything he deserves from his Wakeskating Christmas List. If you’re shopping for gifts for wakeskaters this holiday season, you may want to take a few tips from Bryan’s List.
1. Liquid Force Roberts SST 40.5 Wakeskate – Bryan is convinced that if he gets the SST Wakeskate, he’ll ride just as good as Grant Roberts.
2. Nike 6.0 Bratta’s – Light-weight and flexible, the Nike Bratta Shoe has a super grippy sole that is perfect for wakeskating in.
3. O’Neill Boardshorts – O’Neill incorporates some of their wetsuit/neoprene technology into their surf shorts, making them extra comfortable to wakeskate in.
4. Liquid Force Core Helmet – Safety first!
5. O’Neill Gooru Comp Vest – Easy to move in and easy on the eyes. (Hey Santa, we’ve even got these on Mega Sale!)
6. Liquid Force Skate Bag – Bryan got sick of trying to make a wakeboard bag work for his wakeskate. The LF Skate Bag is designed exclusively for wake skate use.
7. Washed Up Before We Were Has Beens DVD – Everyone needs a little inspiration now and again. Read our review on Obscura’s New Video here.
Ronix One Red Wakeboard Selling Like Hot Cakes
by activewake on Mar.12, 2010, under Active Water Sports
The Limited Ronix One Red Wakeboard is just what the doctor, Danny Harf, ordered. This is not your standard Ronix One Wakeboard. Besides the rad RED top sheet the bottom features a Sintered Base, the most durable non-stick surface Ronix has ever developed. Pay attention to the details because there are a lot of man hours in this piece of art. From the foiled stamps to the raised logo plate this thing crazy. The subtle elephant print shines in the morning light and also matches the Ronix One Boots perfectly. As for those sun glasses… You better leave it to Bryan Swarm to keep it rock’n in the free world. Activewake.com is starting to run out of these gems so get them before they are gone. Jobe said that these are limited for real so they will actually run out by summer.
The Limited Ronix One Red Wakeboard shape pioneers the evolution of variable rails. Shallow molded fins, forgiving angled bevels, and a fuller mid rail set the pace of this mellower freeride inspired shape. As a rider’s weight shifts back, the variable rail transitions to a sharper rail and bevel in the tail – so the board can hook up with a strong, predictable edge up the wake every time. Last season, Danny switched out his rocker to a speedier 3-stage kick and landed a historic switch toeside 1260 days after jumping on his new shape with the additional momentum off the transition. The reduced friction on the water will let any soul turn connoisseur upgrade their travels off the kicker – available in an alternative color. The round rails thru the center with a new angled bevel prevent that all too familiar edge catching a digger, and create an even mellower transitioned carve.

Alliance Wakeskate Photo of The Week – AWS’s Bryan Swarm and Ryan Potter
by activewake on Jan.15, 2010, under Active Water Sports
Ryan Potter and I had been heading up to Koppert lake every Wednesday in the fall, and I always brought my camera but never had decent weather. The sun parted for a few hours and I snapped off a few good shots from the tube! enjoy. — Bryan Swarm
