For more than 50 years the Portland Boat Show has been one of the biggest – all indoor – boat shows in the region. Each year the show looks for the most attractive features, seeks the newest boat designs and provides an abundance of boating choices for all boating aficionados. The Portland Boat Show is set to launch on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Portland Expo Center.

Of course, the big draw for Northwest boaters is seeing what’s new in boat lines, technology and accessories. Every year, manufacturers and dealers bring in their latest designs for introduction. Expect plenty of new boat lines this year, and see what’s new from a wide range of manufacturers and dealers. We can’t wait for the release of Defy, The Danny Harf Project.  Three years in the making, DEFY follows the pursuits of Danny Harf as he continues to push the progression of wakeboarding.  Defy features top riders like Danny Harf, Ben Greenwood, Rusty Malinoski, Shane Bonifay, Parks Bonifay, Shawn Watson, Kevin Henshaw, Dean Smith, Jimmy LaRiche, Chad Sharpe and more.  The film is produced by BFY and is sponsored by Monster Energy, Ronix, Nautiques, Fox and TransWorld WAKEBOARDING.  With those big names, you know this video is going to be good!  DEFY, a Danumentary is supposed to be released early summer 2011.

Props to Marine Products for getting all the boys down to for the Salt Lake City Boat Show. It always seems to be the most popular show for the wake industry. The rumors are true. Shawn Watson still does in fact wakeboard in his spare time. Check out this video of Shawn riding the 2010 Liquid Force Watson Wakeboard. Looks like he still has it.
